Wala'a Rewards Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1. The Wala'a Rewards loyalty program allows DIB Customers to accumulate loyalty points by subscribing to
eligible DIB Products or Services and / or from spending on eligible DIB Cards.
1.2. The Wala'a Rewards loyalty program is governed by the Wala'a Rewards Terms and Conditions, general
Terms and Conditions of account opening and the Terms and Conditions applicable to any other DIB
Product and Service participating in the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program.
2. Eligibility & Enrollment
2.1 Participation in the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program is automatic and free on subscribing to eligible DIB
Products or Services.
2.2 DIB has the right to include / exclude any product or service from the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program at
any time without prior notice to the Customer.
2.3 DIB reserves the right to;
i. Amend, change, or terminate the Wala'a Rewards Terms and Conditions at any time without
prior notice.
ii. Change, modify, terminate or cancel the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program or any of the benefits
or features related thereto, and/or revoke any accrued points without further notice to the
Customer.
iii. Amend the eligibility criteria and/or to limit or change the value and validity of points for the
Wala'a Rewards loyalty program, at its sole discretion, without notice and without liability
whatsoever on the part of DIB.
iv. Impose a validity period for the participation and to extend or reduce the same without any
further notice.
3. Earning of Wala'a Rewards points
3.1 The Products and Services eligible to earn Wala'a Rewards loyalty points will be determined by DIB at its
sole discretion.
3.2 For Spend-based benefits, the Customer shall only earn points upon spending on their eligible DIB Card.
The points earned maybe limited up to the credit limit assigned to the Customer's Credit Card and any
excess utilization or spending over and above the credit limit within the billing month may not be
considered for earning points.
3.3 DIB reserves the right at its own discretion to amend or decline points for certain type of card transaction,
transactions at certain outlets or outlet categories, at its sole and absolute discretion and without prior
notice to the Customer and without liability whatsoever on the part of DIB.
3.4 DIB records shall be final, conclusive and binding in respect of the number of points credited to a
Customer for redemption. In case of any discrepancy relating to points, DIB's decisions and records shall
be final, conclusive and binding.
3.5 DIB reserves the right to amend, change, terminate any eligible product or service categories at any time,
amend the eligibility and participation criteria, limit or change the value of points, at its sole and absolute
discretion, without notice to the Customer and without liability whatsoever on the part of DIB.
3.6 Adjustments will be made to the Wala'a Rewards balance if there are any credits, including those arising
from returned goods or services or billing disputes arising from DIB Card purchases. If a disputed
transaction is resolved in favor of the Cardholder or where a transaction is reversed, proportionate Wala'a
Rewards will also be reversed and credited/debited to the Cardholder.
3.7 Wala'a Rewards points are non-transferable and non-refundable.
4. Redemptions
4.1 The Wala'a Rewards redemption option offered through third-party merchants are regarded as a medium
of purchase for goods and services and DIB will only serve as a liaison between the merchant and
Customer. The purchase and acceptance by the Customer of such goods and services shall be at the
Customer's own risk and judgment. Any issues transpiring after the purchase of these goods and services
is solely between the merchant and Customer and DIB shall not be held liable in this regard.
4.2 Once redeemed, points are not refundable. Once a purchase order is submitted for redemption, it cannot
be canceled, revoked, transferred or changed.
4.3 The availability of the flights and hotel rooms (as the case may be) and pricing are under the sole
responsibility Travel Partner and DIB shall not be held liable for the availability, pricing or condition of the
products offered through Travel Partner or any third-party merchants. In such events the third-party
merchant terms and conditions may apply to flight ticket bookings or hotel bookings and DIB shall not be
under any responsibility towards any customer in this regard.
4.4 DIB shall not be held liable for any delay or inability to deliver if the Customer has not provided all
necessary delivery details to the third-party merchant at the time of redemption.
4.5 DIB makes no representation and provides no repairs or warranty whatsoever, expressed or implied, and
undertakes and assumes no liability whatsoever in respect of the quality of the goods and services
purchased through the third-party merchants.
4.6 Once the Customer submits a request for redemption of points through the third-party ecommerce
website or Travel Portal, the request and vouchers cannot be refunded, modified or cancelled by the
customer.
4.7 In the case of joint or multiple account holders, the use and redemption of points shall only be available
to the primary signatory as identified in DIB's records. Credit Card accounts will be identified by the
customer identification number ('CIF') of the primary signatory as determined by DIB's records.
4.8 The Customer allows DIB to share Customer information with third party couriers, suppliers or merchants.
Such information may include non-financial personal information that is required to effectively perform
the duties and functions of the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program and the Customer agrees and accepts the
right of DIB to share such information if required.
4.9 For third-party services, cancellation and modification charges may apply and it is to be managed directly
with the merchant. Wala'a Rewards cannot be redeemed for such charges and has to be settled by the
Customer directly with the merchant.
5. Wala'a Rewards Expiry & Cancellation
5.1 Any unutilized points will expire after three years from the date they are first credited to the Customer's
points balance. DIB shall be under no obligation to send any communication to the Customer informing
them of the forfeiture prior to the date of point expiry.
5.2 In the event of voluntary cancellation of a DIB Card or upon termination of the DIB Relationship by the
Customer, all Wala'a Rewards points accrued by the Customer shall be forfeited.
6. Liability and Indemnity
6.1 DIB, including its employees, personnel, directors or owners shall not be liable for any loss, damage or
liability of whatsoever nature, including any direct or indirect loss arising from the use of the Wala'a
Rewards loyalty program.
6.2 DIB shall have no liability for any discrepancy in the calculation of points. In the event of any discrepancies
in the calculation of points, DIB shall use reasonable efforts to rectify any such discrepancies. DIB's
decisions regarding discrepancies shall be final and binding on the Customer.
6.3 DIB shall not be in breach of its obligations or liable to continue the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program, or
be liable to the Customer as a result of any Force Majeure Event. A Force Majeure Event, in these Terms
and Conditions, shall mean circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including amongst other things,
strikes and other industrial disputes, acts and regulations of any governmental bodies or authorities in any
jurisdiction, acts of God, any severe weather conditions, war, riot, or other natural disaster. In such
circumstances, our obligation to the Customer shall automatically stand cancelled without the necessity
to provide notice.
6.4 The Customer is responsible and liable for all transaction orders and any other type of activity related to
the Customer's use of the Wala'a Rewards loyalty program.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
7.1 The Wala'a Rewards Terms and Conditions shall be governed by UAE laws and Dubai courts shall have
jurisdiction.
